Jarvis the Cross-Eyed Cat

Grumpy Cat and Lil Bub had better lookout because there’s a new cat in town, and he’s already gone viral. Jarvis P. Weasley (a.k.a. the Cross-Eyed Cat) has taken the Internet by storm. It hasn’t been all happy trails though—at just four months old, Jarvis was left on the side of the road. Luckily, he was brought to Saving Grace Rescue in Oakland, Calif., where aspiring veterinary technician and frequent pet foster-parent Daria Kelly was volunteering.

Kelly had fostered hundreds of animals before Jarvis, but she never planned on adopting full-time until Jarvis came along and changed all that. “One day, I was watching him jump for joy in his cage, seemingly over nothing. I took it to be pure happiness,” Kelly said.

Jarvis’ surname will be easily recognizable to any Harry Potter fan (the cat’s ginger coat is certainly a Weasley trait, if I’ve ever heard of one), but his first name may be less familiar, Kelly named him after Jarvis Cocker, frontman of the English band Pulp. So, yeah, he’s a cool cat.

To all of the other famous felines out there, you’ve been warned. Jarvis is just getting started.
