The American Pet Products Association (APPA) appointed two new members to its board of directors: Brett Johnson of Radio Systems Corporation and Todd Regan of Central Garden & Pet.

Johnson brings extensive leadership experience overseeing the analytics and insights, market research, customer care and China market teams as director of customer experience at Radio Systems Corporation. Earlier in his career, he worked in the internet and technology industries in varying capacities for 20 years.

Regan has vast experience overseeing marketing for numerous pet brands during his tenure in the industry. He currently serves as the senior vice president of marketing at Central Garden & Pet. Prior to his years in the pet industry, he held brand management, marketing and sales roles at large corporations like Kraft Foods and Nissan Motor Corporation.

“Brett Johnson and Todd Regan bring a wide array of expertise to our association,” said Steve King, president and CEO of APPA. “With continued growth in the pet industry, their combined experience building high-quality brands will greatly benefit our board.”

In addition, APPA recently announced two new board positions with Chuck Latham of H & C Animal Health now serving as the chairman of the board, and Tommy Baroody of Nestle Purina PetCare serving as secretary/treasurer.
