Pet Supermarket donated to more than 80 animal rescues and shelters following a two-week fundraiser from May 10-23, 2021, during which all Pet Supermarket stores collected $82,000 in customer donations and proceeds from the sales of limited-edition pet bandanas.
During the new Lend a Paw effort, Pet Supermarket held the largest coordinated adoption event in company history at all 216 locations.
“The fundraiser and the adoption event provided an opportunity to support the incredible work and critical needs of the animal shelters and rescues in our communities,” said Jonathan Rodriguez, the manager of store events and local marketing. “In light of all that has happened over the past year, we were so pleased with the turn out and to be able to make an impact in the lives of these homeless animals.”
Through Pet Supermarket’s Lend A Paw fundraising campaign, previously the Pet Appreciation Month fundraiser, the company has raised over $1,000,000 for local animal shelters and rescues since 2016.
